I work with Aberlour Children’s Charity focused on improving financial wellbeing for families, helping them access the right support, reduce debt, and navigate poverty-related challenges. Through partnership working, training, and influencing local and national practice, me and my organisation aim to create longer-term systems change that reduces financial hardship and improves outcomes for children and families.

I joined the Poverty Alliance to be part of a collective voice that is working to challenge poverty at a national level.

Tackling poverty means supporting families early to increase income, reduce debt, and access the right help. It also means training staff to feel confident having financial conversations. Across my community, it means working with partners to improve services and remove barriers.

What keeps me going is seeing the real difference my work makes for families, when stress reduces, confidence grows, and things start to feel manageable again.
