Lydia joined the Poverty Alliance in January 2022. She will be working on the Rights in Action Project and will be developing and delivering training and support to ensure that Poverty Alliance members, community organisations and people with lived experience of poverty can take advantage of the changing context of human rights in Scotland.
Lydia gained a First Class BSc in Government from the London School of Economics and a Masters in Research from the University of Glasgow in Human Rights and International Politics. She has experience in the third sector internationally and domestically and has worked for the Animal Health Trust, Debate Mate, Street Child Sri Lanka and Action Against Hunger. Most recently Lydia has been leading on a Youth Volunteering and Employability Project in Glasgow for Volunteering Matters.
When she’s not working Lydia can often be found listening to current affairs podcasts, riding her bike (slowly) and hanging out with friends’ cats. She hopes to adopt her own soon.
