Susan Lyons has thirty years of advocacy, activism and representative work. She has experience of trade union activism, social security issues, political activism, anti poverty work. She is a feminist and is blogs on political and social issues. she is used to speaking at local and national forums and represents HUG. Sue has been involved in a variety of research and reports on services and the effect of poverty in rural areas. She is a strong advocate for mental health, women and rural issues and is currently studying for a masters degree on Sustainable Rural Development with UHI.
