Youth Empowerment: Information as a Way to Tackle Child Poverty

Hamilton Information Project for Youth (HIPY) will host an event that will be comprised of an information market-place with other partner organisations, including COVEY Befriending, with a focus on ways to support young peoples’ financial health and wellbeing. The event will be held in the Regent Shopping Centre, Hamilton and as part of the event, HIPY will be provide FREE giveaways, including period products, toiletries and more. As an information service, we will offer advice and support as well as sign-posting to other organisations in order to make young people better informed about the services and support available to them in their communities. HIPY believes that information is power – making young people aware of the services and support available to them empowers them to achieve more positive outcomes in their lives and their wider communities.
