Think Poverty: Poverty Awareness Sessions for Falkirk’s Community Planning Partnership
Think Poverty: You can make a difference this Challenge Poverty Week
Challenge Poverty Week was created by the Poverty Alliance to highlight the injustice of poverty in Scotland and show that collective action based on justice and compassion can create solutions. This year, Challenge Poverty Week will take place between Monday 2nd October to Sunday 8th October.
During Challenge Poverty Week 2023, the Fairer Falkirk team from Falkirk Council will be running Think Poverty sessions for partners across the Community Planning Partnership. Our Think Poverty sessions highlight the impact living on a low income has on people’s lives and wellbeing. The sessions also provide practical advice and resources for staff to help people in financial difficulty.
The Think Poverty sessions last for just over an hour and take place on Teams, making it easy to log in regardless of where you are. Sessions are open to all across the Community Planning Partnership, whether you work on the frontline or in the back office.
‘Please note, these sessions are open to staff across Falkirk’s Community Planning Partnership or those working in the Falkirk area. If you would like to sign up, please get in touch with the Fairer Falkirk team at fairerfalkirk@falkirk.gov.uk for more details.
