Taking Action on Rural Poverty Parliamentary Reception

This reception will celebrate the work of our Taking Action on Rural Poverty (TARP) project and provide an opportunity to bring together people with lived experience of poverty, community organisations, campaigners, MSPs and partners from across Scotland to highlight the realities of rural and island poverty.
A central feature of the event will be our Photostories exhibition, created by our Citizens Panels in rural and island communities. Through photography and personal testimony, the exhibition tells the story of the rural premium – the higher costs of living that many people face simply because of where they live – and the action needed to build a fairer Scotland.
