Park ELC – Community Larder

Community larder
There are community larders at both entrances with a number of dried goods including packets, tins, toiletries and baby food, with carrier bags available for parents & carers to take what they wish. We are extending this initiative and are going to create readymade food parcels / bags, that will contain items to make a family meal.
The community food larder is run by staff and is sustained through staff and community donations. We have recently applied to Fare Share to further extend the larder and offer a larger variety for families.

Family Breakfast
We ae hosting a family breakfast, where parents & carers can enjoy breakfast with their child when they drop off in the morning.

Donation Station
We have pre-loved clothing laundered and hung on rails at both entrances available for families to take what they wish. This is updated regularly, and clothing is season appropriate. We also identify families that need some additional support and have prepared bags of shoes and clothing for them. We are planning on extending this service by adding a bedding and towel selection.

Community links
We are forging links with the Community group at Wimpy Park as we begin to create our own community vegetable garden in the ELC grounds.
