How to become a member of The Poverty Alliance.
Staff & Board

Sarah Welford
Policy and Parliamentary Officer

Sarah started work with Poverty Alliance in February 2009 on the Evidence Participation Change project. Previously she worked with an international anti poverty human rights organisation in London and then worked at EU level in Brussels where she promoted and organised the participation of people with direct experience of poverty at various different levels including social worker training workshops in the UK to meetings with high level EU civil servants and MEPs.

Sarah is a strong believer in the empowerment of people to become involved in the policy making processes that ultimately affect their lives and in working towards a society where everyone will have access to all of their human rights.
