| Bridging the Policy Gap |
Bridging the Policy Gap was a 12-month project funded to increase awareness of European action in the field of social inclusion and social protection. The project put participation at the heart of the awareness raising work; achieving increased awareness through actively engaging a cross-section of people and organisations in the development and evaluation of policies designed to tackle poverty and social exclusion at the local level.
The project work in three local authority areas in the UK, looking at three policy issues:
- Access to the labour market by disabled people (London borough of Newham)
- Support for families to return to the labour market, hence tackling child poverty (Glasgow)]
- Service to support children's play (Swansea)
You can find out more about the project by visiting the BTPG micro site where you can download all the reports that were published as a result of the project.
