Projects

As well as carrying out a range of core activities - campaigning, lobbying, responding to consultations - the Alliance also implements a range of project activities.  Projects are usually designed to highlight innovative ways of tackling poverty, or at getting people's voices heard in influencing policy. Evidence - Participation - Change (EPIC)
EPIC is a new four year project aimed at putting participation at the heart of antii-poverty policy making in Scotland. It will bring together people with experience of poverty, community and voluntary organisations and policy makers to discuss and find better solutions to the problems our society faces.

Bridging the Policy Gap
This project operated during 2007 and was designed to support better participation in local and national policy in the development of the National Action Plan on Social Inclusion in 2008.

Scottish Borders Poverty Commission
The Poverty Alliance carried out a six month project to feed into the Scottish Borders Poverty and Social Exclusion Commission

Get Heard
The project operated between 2004 and 2006 across the UK. It was designed to support people with experience of poverty feed into the development of the 2006 National Action Plan on Social Inclusion. Almost 50 discussion groups were organised in Scotland during the course of the project.
