In
January 2004 36 people: 18 from Dumfries & Galloway and 18
from the Glasgow area began a ten week writing and photography
workshopprogramme, their task to learn and develop new skills
whilst exploring how to identify poverty from an urban (Glasgow)
and rural (Dumfries & Galloway) perspective.
Groups were made up of able and disable bodied
people from a wide range of life experience and age. Thier images
- textual and visual - are a combination of documentation and
social realism, sourcing authentic, original images, written
and photographed of life, in poverty, across Scotland today.
Images are available for download and use free of charge as
long as the creator is credited.
