Ways to help
you keep warm and comfortable in your home
Local pharmacy shops across Scotland are
being asked to promote a new leaflet ‘Ways to help you keep
warm and comfortable in your home’. The leaflet aims to spread
the word about the assistance available to those living in
cold, damp homes that could have a negative effect on their
health.

Tackling
Fuel Poverty: the next steps
In September 2007 the All Party Parliamentary
Group on Debt and Personal Finance launched a report on fuel
poverty, in conjunction with the All Party Parliamentary Group
on Poverty. The report calls on the Government to take urgent
steps to tackle rising prices and the poor practices of some
suppliers to help ensure that the target of eradicating fuel
poverty among vulnerable groups by 2010 is met.
