Twp People Talking Bridging the Policy Gap
From National Policy to Local Implementation

Welcome. The project work for Bridging the Policy Gap is now complete; the organisers would to thank the hundreds of people who participated in the project from Glasgow, Swansea, Newham and many places in between.

Bridging the Policy Gap was a 12-month project funded to increase awareness of European action in the field of social inclusion and social protection. The project put participation at the heart of the awareness raising work; achieving increased awareness through actively engaging a cross-section of people and organisations in the development and evaluation of policies designed to tackle poverty and social exclusion at the local level.

You can find out more about the project on these pages as well as download the four reports that were written and published as a result of the project. The reports include recommendations and key findings in the areas of: Participation in policy making, helping lone parents overcome the barriers that may be preventing their return to work, Children’s play and helping disabled people undertake employment and careers.
